Is there anything more romantic than a white winter wedding. It conjures up thoughts of roaring fires, candle light and festive greenery.
This was exactly the vision that Grace and Alex had for their winter wedding at Brendenbury Court Barn in the West Midlands.
This beautiful converted barn with its rustic timbers and country setting really lent itself to a beautiful Christmas wedding.
A seasonal green base of eucalyptus and fur was used to compliment the white flowers which included berries, roses, astrantia and seasonal hellebores and anenome. Each bouquet was finished with a trailing ribbon to add to the romance of the design. The beautiful flower girl wore a flower crown of white flowers and carried a floral want to case her magic spells onto the guests.
Although the couple did not want the wedding to feel obviously Christmas themed they did opt to have a beautiful real Christmas tree present for their ceremony. The aisle was then finished with hurricane lanterns and greenery. A stunning large meadow was placed at the front of the ceremony table making a beautiful focal point for the ceremony and creating the feeling of romance and drama. This was later moved to the wedding reception.
Within the reception the use of greenery was continued with greenery balls placed in the corners of the beams to soften the room and wreaths and candles placed on the table making for a simple yet effective reception. Small jars of flowers were placed around the bar again to soften the masculine feel of the room.
Whites and greens are a perfect colour combination for any time of the year giving a romantic and timeless feel. I hope that this blog will give you some inspiration to start the floral plans for your festive wedding.
