I am Michelle, the face behind Posey Rose Flowers. Posey Rose was founded in 2018 after having my daughter Posey. I had been working as a social worker for many years while enjoying floristry and working as a freelance florist in my spare time. After having my second child I found the juggling of motherhood, a full time job and keeping my passion of flowers alive difficult. I made the decision to plough all of my energies and time into floristry and my family, and haven’t looked back! 

 

Flowers have so many different meanings and evoke emotions on a number of levels. They can be a wonderful way to bid farewell to someone, to give as a gift or to add a wow factor at a wedding, celebration or event. My biggest joy is working with people to hone in on their individual style while being sympathetic to the season to create beautiful natural style flower arrangements and installations that have a luxurious and abundant feel.

I believe that luxury floral design and environmental consciousness can go hand in hand and I always consider the environment when working with flowers. This is achieved by striving to use no floral foam in our floral arrangements, using British Grown Flowers wherever possible and ensuring that our waste is recycled. We even try to donate unwanted event flowers the following day so that nothing goes to waste.

Living in a small village in Stroud I am blessed to be surrounded by the rolling hills, beautiful walks and and period charm of the Cotswolds which influence my rustic and natural style of floristry. Wherever possible I strive to use eco friendly floristry methods with no floral foams, giving flower arrangements a beautiful natural feel full of movement and charm. During the spring and summer months I also love to use British Grown Flowers which are sourced from local flower farmers. I even have a little allotment space where I have been trying my hand at growing a few of my own blooms.
