Charlotte and Alex held their beautiful February wedding at Elmore Court. A wonderful stately home based in Gloucestershire.
Elmore court is spent into 2 sections. The main house, where the ceremony was held and guests stay and the Gillyflower which is a beautifully converted reception room.
Charlotte and Alex wanted their flowers to feel complimentary to the season with earthy tones, lots of greenery and a mix of dried and fresh flowers. How could I say not to such a beautiful brief.
When it came to dressing the ceremony we opted to keep it simple but romantic with some strategically placed large meadows placed at the front of the aisle to mark this and make a beautiful backdrop for photos. These were later transferred to sit either side of the long reception tables. Our glass hurricane lanterns were placed down the aisle and set with foliage which help to add a little romantic light to a dullish February day. We then placed 2 large swags of foliage and dried flowers at the start of the aisle as a marker.
The welcome sign was placed outside of the main house and this was complimented with a large meadow arrangement.
When it came to the wedding reception and meal Charlotte and Alex had round tables set either side of one extremely long centralised top table. It made for a really fun, intimate and different reception style.
The Top table was set with a foliage ruscus runner through the centre of the table and then bud vases of dried flowers in different heights were placed along this.
For the round tables Charlotte cleverly utilised her bridesmaids bouquets. These were placed into our glass bouquet vases once the bridal party had finished with their photos and then we set 3 bud vases of dried flowers around these. It made for a beautiful table setting while still giving lots of room for anything else to be placed on the tables.
In one corner of the room a wooden arch was set with an abundant trailing floral arrangement on. This was used as a backdrop for the reception and later become the fun photo booth area for the evening party.
Flowers were set on the beautiful buttercream and gold cake.
Charlotte carried a natural style shower bouquet full of toffee and quicksand roses, pampas and lisianthus. Her bridesmaids carried a hand tied bouquet similar in design. Charlottes bridesmaids wore beautiful burnt orange dresses which off set the flowers wonderfully.
I really enjoyed designing this wedding and hope to be back at the beautiful Elmore Court soon.
